Healthcare Costs of <i>Clostridioides difficile</i> Infection in Commercially Insured Younger Adults

Abstract In a U.S. adult population less than 65 years attributable costs due to Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) were highest in those with hospital onset and lowest persons community associated CDI treated outside of hospitalization. The economic burden younger adults underscores the need for additional preventive strategies.
